we consume it day by day without even noticing it. just a little bit underneath an omelette, or just to spice up our salad. we put it on pizza, pasta, bread, soups, but we even have it inside our cosmetics. yes, we're talking about olives. but do we think about it's cultivation, growth and production? not really. unlike wine, olive stays on the edge of oblivion. we will try to change that here, at il nuvoloso. come and see the process of making olive oil with us. or don't want to get your hands dirty? no problem, you will soon be able to buy freshly pressed olive oil online!

our olive grove is just situated on the outskirt of citta della pieve. we have around 400 trees distributed on 5 hectares. the local climate and soil gives birth to olio d.o.p umbria, which is known as one of the best quality olive oils in italy and the whole world.

most of the people think that green and black olives are two different types. however, that's not true. even thought there may be a difference in their taste, but that's only because one is more mature than the other. black and green olives come from one and the same tree. olives are born green and die black 

product

you can make all type of products from olives. here at il nuvoloso, we mainly concentrate on the oil. we collect the olives around october and produce the oil in a trusted factory in citta della pieve. we bottle them to recycled wine bottles, then label them. that's it, they are ready to consume
